An International Non Governmental organization is looking to hire “Field Monitors” in Dara’a. More details about the post and the requirements below.

Project background:

The project design responds to the devastating conflict and humanitarian crisis in Syria by providing lifesaving support for infants, children, pregnant and lactating women (PLW), caregivers and families including integrated Infant and Young Child Feeding in Emergencies (IYCF-E) and Psychosocial Support (PSS) in southern Syrian in governorate of Dara’a. Across this project, we aim to increase access to IYCF services to improve feeding practices in communities in southern Syria, provide children and their families with needed protection including PSS.

As part of this project, we are recruiting field monitors to provide independent monitoring and verification of all partner activities as well as conduct independent research and analysis as well as provide capacity building as needed to our partners.

The role

The successful candidate will work towards ensuring effective implementation of Infant and Young Child Feeding in Emergencies (IYCF-E) and Psychosocial Support (PSS) programming in southern Syrian in governorate of Dara’a. Also, will work to ensure activities are in line with community and beneficiary needs and that project activities are implemented to a high quality. Lastly, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper project documentation and sharing information with the project coordinator and ensuring activities progress according to the implementation plan.

Qualifications and experience


·         Bachelor’s Degree

·         Personal qualities: Team player, flexible, able to handle pressure, enjoys working in the field, values diversity, encourages openness and transparency, honest, good communications skills

·         Organization, management and negotiation skills

·         Honest and motivated

·         Familiarity with the local community where the activities are implemented

·         Good interpersonal communication skills and high respect for confidentiality

·         Previous experience managing people

·         Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality, age sensitivity and fully complies with our Child Protection and Child Safeguarding Policy and Guidelines


·         experience with humanitarian organizations

·         Knowledge in IYCF or Child protection Concepts and Activities able to work with minimum level of supervision

·         good English speaking and writing
