Position Summary:         


The Human Resources assistant is responsible for proper and efficient implementation of day-to-day HR functions and activities in accordance to HR Policies and Procedures within Syria under the direct supervision of the Human Resources in the field.




Position Duties and Responsibilities:


·        Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment steps and employee leaves of absence.

·        Request information from previous employers, and other references to determine applicants' employment acceptability.

·        Process and review employment applications with programs and HF management to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants.

·        Arrange for advertising or posting of job vacancies, and notify eligible workers of position availability.

·        Explain organization personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.

·        Record data for each employee, including such information as addresses, monthly earnings, absences and dates of and reasons for terminations with follow up for it.

·        Select applicants meeting specified job requirements and refer them to the recruiter to follow up it with programs. 

·        Follow up Interview job applicants to obtain and verify information used to screen and evaluate them.

·        Inform job applicants of their acceptance or rejection of employment in coordination with HF management.

·        Collect the incentive workers information on one master sheet.

·        Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions.

·        Answer questions regarding examinations, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information related to HR Department.

·        Administer and score applicant and employee aptitude, personality, and interest assessment instruments.

·        Arrange for internal and external training activities.

·        Any other tasks assigned by the HR Officer. In Turkey.






Qualifications & Requirements:


·        A university degree and/or a proven experience for 2 years in a similar position.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic are essential.

·        Previous medical or INGO experience is preferred.

·        Good English language skills preferred.

·        Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality.

·        A strong propensity for flexibility, teamwork, and creative thinking will be essential to this job.

·        Good stamina to stand and work for long hours.

·        Adaptable and capable of working well under pressure. 

·        Ability to work in a team setting as well as independently without supervision.
